USBC helps ensure their voices are heard\u2014throughout change, growth, and time.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-68ee091 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"68ee091\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b7fe57b e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"b7fe57b\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-49f00fc elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"49f00fc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The Roots of ARTI<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0b27dcd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0b27dcd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>USBC\u2019s Anti-Racism Training Institute of the Southwest (ARTI) began in the early 1990s with the launch of Albuquerque Project Change, a multiracial, multicultural initiative focused on dismantling institutional racism.<\/p><p>In partnership with the Claremont Institute for Democratic Renewal and the University of New Mexico Public Policy Center, USBC created ARTI to address one of the greatest barriers to equity: the lack of a shared understanding of what racism is, how it operates in systems, and how and why it is maintained.<\/p><p>Today, ARTI continues to lead transformative workshops that help individuals \u000band institutions:<\/p><ul><li>Examine the historical roots of racism<\/li><li>Recognize systemic barriers to equity<\/li><li>Build shared language for anti-racist action<\/li><\/ul><p>Want to be notified about upcoming ARTI trainings and conversations? data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>From 2021 to 2023, USBC co-led Our Humanity: Advancing Health Literacy, a community health initiative that connected Albuquerque residents with trusted, accessible COVID-19 resources.\u000b\u000bWorking in partnership with South Valley MainStreet, Casa del Rey Ministries, and other grassroots organizations, \u000bthe program reached thousands of residents across neighborhoods such as South Broadway, San Jose, \u000bSanta Barbara-Martineztown, Trumbull\/La Mesa, Westgate, and the South Valley.<\/p><div>Key outreach activities included:<\/div><ul><li>Door-to-door canvassing and mobile clinics<\/li><li>Social media and text-based health campaigns<\/li><li>Community referrals to wellness and preventive care<\/li><\/ul><p>Though funding for Our Humanity has concluded, its legacy continues in the relationships, trust, and \u000bpublic health access built during this critical
