USBC Executive Director To Speak on Affordable Housing at Denver Summit

USBC Executive Director Diana Dorn-Jones will join a regional panel of subject matter experts on affordable housing at the NCRC Mountain West Regional Summit September 26-27 in Denver.

Co-panelists are Chris Billey, Executive Director of the Tribal Homeownership Coalition of the Southwest; Eleni Angelides, Deputy Legislative Director of the Office of Colorado Governor Jared Polis; and Shelly Marquez, President, Mercy Housing Mountain Plains.  Erin Clark, Chief Real Estate Investment Officer of the Denver Housing Authority, will moderate.

The panel will address protecting homeowner rights, promoting access to housing, and affordable rental housing.

United South Broadway Corporation is a co-convener of the summit along with fellow NCRC (National Community Reinvestment Coalition) members in Arizona, Utah, Colorado and Indian Country.

The summit brings together housing and community development leaders; faith-based organizations and fair lending advocates; financial institutions and environmental justice groups; as well as small business entrepreneurs, tribal leaders, public officials and academics from the four states.

In addition to exploring how water and water rights will impact sustainable growth, participants will examine strategies to increase access to affordable housing and credit through the Community Reinvestment Act, legislative measures, and community land trusts.

Those interested in attending the summit can register here.
